What is fitness pilates?

Fitness Pilates is a low-intensity form of exercise made to increase a person’s strength, balance, and flexibility. It integrates both breath and movement within existing bodily mechanisms to move the body in a natural, healthy way. Most pilates exercises focus on the core and pelvis, and require no special equipment, making it a great choice for a quick, at-home workout!

Yes and no. While the inventor of pilates consciously drew on influences from eastern and western exercises, pilates is a lot more dynamic compared to yoga, and doesn’t have as much focus on holding static poses.
